Considering it unlikely for this to be the last time this case will appear on appeal, a brief statement of facts should suffice. Appellant, Royal Russell Long, presents a post-conviction-relief petition under ร§ 7-14-101, et seq., W.S. 1977, following his guilty plea to charges of a 1984 kidnapping and apparent homicide of Sharon Baldeagle, age 12, whose body has never been found, as well as sexual assault on another girl, age 15. Six felony charges were filed, and after plea negotiation a guilty plea was entered to two counts of kidnapping and one of aggravated assault, with two life sentences and a concurrent sentence of six to eight years for aggravated assault then given.
